IGEM Triumph At South West Golf Day

May 15, 2014

Once again the Kendleshire Golf Course near Bristol hosted the South West Section Annual golf day. Thirteen teams enjoyed blue skies, sunshine, excellent hospitality and also raised a staggering £3,800 for this year’s charity, The Disabled Golf Association www.disabledgolf.org.uk

It also marked a first for the IGEM golf team who won the completion. The format was four man teams, three quarter handicaps with the best two scores on each hole to count. IGEM notched up a stunning 91 points with Synthotech a close second followed by Steve Vick and GPS in fourth place. Tony Alden won the putting completion, Ian Johnson the longest drive and Rob Long the nearest -the -pin prize.

Special thanks go to Andrew Lucas who organised the day, the raffle and the charity auction that contributed to the fund-raising.
