Steve Vick International Supports Dorothy House Life Lines Appeal 2025

Steve Vick International has pledged its support to the Dorothy House Life Lines Appeal 2025, a 36 hour fundraising sprint aiming to raise £500,000 to ensure more people in the local community can access vital palliative and end of life care.

Dorothy House holds a special place within the Steve Vick family and among its staff. Many team members have personally experienced the support Dorothy House provides, witnessing the difference it makes to families at a difficult time. Supporting the Life Lines Appeal is the company’s way of contributing to a cause that directly impacts the lives of people across the community.

Steve Vick International has pledged a £50,000 donation to the appeal. Thanks to pledges already secured by Dorothy House, all donations made during the 36 hour fundraising sprint in December will be doubled, ensuring every contribution has an even greater impact.

The Life Lines Appeal will run from 10am on Sunday 7^th December to 10pm on Monday
8^th December, using the online crowdfunding platform Charity Extra. Dorothy House is encouraging as many people as possible to get involved, either by donating or by becoming one of their ‘Champions.’ Champions play a key role by reaching out to friends, family, and contacts to help raise funds during the appeal.

Funding is essential to Dorothy House’s ability to provide care. Every donation helps ensure no one in the community faces the end of life without support and compassion. While the hospice continues to care for more people than ever, there are still members of the community who cannot access the care they need.

Becoming a Champion is simple. Dorothy House provides all the materials and guidance required, and Champions can share messages with their networks via phone, email, or social media. Every message helps raise awareness and funds for the care that is so vital to patients and families.
