25 Years Milestone for Mike Hall, Operations Manager at Steve Vick International

December 7, 2016

Steve Vick International (SVI) is delighted to commemorate Mike Hall’s 25th year of continuous service with the company.

Mike started his career at SVI as a Contract Service Engineer and gained an impressive 22 years’ experience using techniques such as Live Riser Transfer, grout filling of voids and underground spaces, and Stub End Abandonment. In addition to the experience gained in the UK, Mike has worked on projects in the USA, Scandinavia, and Europe.

Mike’s wealth of experience and commitment was recognised by the board of directors in 2013 when he was promoted to Operations Manager. Within this role Mike is responsible for managing a team of ten Contract Engineers as well as overseeing all contract projects.

The Contract Service department has grown significantly since Mike’s promotion, and there is no doubt that he has played a vital part in this success.

Sean Noonan, Operations Director, commented, “Mike repeatedly shows his willingness to go above and beyond customers’ essential requirements and it is this attribute, together with his unrivalled technical knowledge, that make him such a valuable asset to the Steve Vick team”

Mike’s notable achievements include responding promptly to an emergency gas leak in Ealing, London, where he worked a 24 hour shift to safeguard the public. Furthermore, he was exclusively responsible for the positive take-up of Live Riser Transfer in North London, triggering financial benefits for the gas networks involved.

More recently, Claire Norris has joined Mike as Contract Service Administrator, and will be helping with customer enquiries and sales administration.

Looking to the future, SVI’s Contract Service continues to expand and diversify with new innovations being developed regularly. Mike and his team will continue to work closely with all the Gas Distribution Networks, ensuring that customers always receive a rapid and high quality service.

Mike lives in the market town of Westbury, Wiltshire with his wife Bev and three sons; Luke 16, Adam 14 and Elliot 8. He has completed the Bath half marathon and the London marathon twice!
