July 12, 2022

Steve Vick International (SVI) are pleased to announce they won the New to Nuclear Award at the inaugural Morgan Sindall Infrastructure Nuclear Business Unit Supply Chain Awards.

The event, ‘Working together with our supply chain,’ saw suppliers and members of the Morgan Sindall Infrastructure Nuclear unit come together to share and celebrate the successes they delivered in collaboration across their infrastructure projects.

Rich Ditte, Senior Development Engineer at SVI commented:

“We were delighted to be invited to the awards dinner by Morgan Sindall Infrastructure. It was a great chance to celebrate the collaborative projects we’ve been involved in at Sellafield.  To win the New to Nuclear Award was the icing on the cake, and a great accolade for us as at SVI as we continue our diversification journey into the Nuclear industry.”

SVI a key supplier to the Gas Distribution Networks for the last 40 years has seen considerable growth in the Nuclear side of the business.  The company have been involved in decommissioning and new connection projects at Sellafield, Harwell, Chapelcross, Hunterston and more recently Hinkley Point ‘A’.

Steve Vick International was founded in 1981 by the current chairman, Steve Vick, who saw an opportunity to develop ways of safely sealing off gas mains and services using expanding resin foams under ‘live’ conditions.  Off the back of this many signature foam technologies have been developed by SVI and have been found to be transferable techniques to the Nuclear industry for decommissioning and new connections.
