Steve Vick International Named Finalist in UKSTT 2025 Awards for Innovative Technology

Steve Vick International has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Innovative Technology category at the UKSTT 2025 Awards. The nomination recognises a series of solutions developed to improve safety when managing and installing 180mm coiled pipes – a long-standing challenge in the industry.

The innovations include:

• Enhanced 180 Pipe Coil Trailer – now fitted with full guarding across all four quadrants to improve coil security during handling.
• CoilControl – a new Cadent-approved installation device that makes handling coiled pipe safer and more efficient. The system sets up in under five minutes, is compatible with any pipe coil trailer, and supports pipe diameters from 125–180mm PE (with a 63–125mm version in development).
• Long Reach Band Cutter – designed to cut plastic and steel restraining straps from a minimum distance of three metres, reducing risk to operators.

These tools were developed to address the unique safety risks associated with the stored kinetic energy of 180mm pipe coils and to help promote safer working practices on site.

The winners will be announced at the UKSTT Awards Dinner on Thursday 2 October 2025, at The De Vere Tortworth Court, Tortworth.
