Future Energy

Investing in renewable energy to reduce our environmental impact and support a more sustainable future.

At SVI, our commitment to sustainability extends beyond the products and solutions we develop. We are also taking steps across our own sites and operations to reduce our reliance on traditional energy sources and increase our use of renewable energy.

Solar panels have now been installed at both our Head Office in Bradford on Avon and our Frome depot, helping to generate cleaner energy for our facilities and day-to-day operations.

Making an impact at our sites

Our solar installation at SVI Head Office in Bradford on Avon was completed at the end of 2025. Since installation, the system has already delivered measurable environmental benefits.

Based on data recorded up to October 2026, the environmental impact is equivalent to:

  • 760 trees planted
  • 5 tonnes of CO₂ emissions saved

Our Frome depot is also benefiting from solar generation, with the installation helping to reduce the site’s reliance on traditional energy sources. Since June, the system has delivered environmental benefits equivalent to:

  • 529 trees planted
  • 74 tonnes of CO₂ emissions saved

These figures demonstrate how renewable energy can make a tangible difference across our own facilities, while supporting our wider sustainability ambitions.

Powering more than our buildings

Our investment in renewable energy also complements the innovative solutions we provide to customers.

One example is Renset®, a portable renewable power station designed as an alternative to traditional petrol and diesel generators. By providing a cleaner source of portable power, Renset can help businesses keep equipment and operations running while reducing their reliance on fossil-fuel-powered generators.

This creates an important connection between the energy we generate at our own sites and the solutions we provide to help others transition towards cleaner ways of working.

Looking towards a more sustainable future

For SVI, sustainability is about more than what happens underground. It is about continually looking at how we operate, the technology we develop and the choices we make across our sites and facilities.

From generating renewable energy at our own premises to supporting the transition away from traditional generators with solutions such as Renset, we are continuing to invest in practical ways to reduce environmental impact.

By investing in renewable energy today, we are taking another step towards building a more sustainable tomorrow.
