Steve Vick International Support Fundraisers At Goodson Lodge Care Centre

June 5, 2019

Steve Vick International is contributing towards the fundraising efforts of eight intrepid skydivers from Goodson Lodge Care Centre in Trowbridge, operated by The Orders of St John Care Trust.

On Thursday, 20th June, five members of staff and three family members from the centre are doing a sponsored skydive from Old Sarum in Salisbury, Wiltshire. They have chosen to jump from either 10,000ft or 15,000ft to raise money for a special interactive sensory table for the care centre.

James Powell, one of the brave skydivers, is a Development Technician at Steve Vick International and will be completing the jump with his partner Kirsty Haley who works at Goodson Lodge.

Goodson Lodge Care Centre is a specialist home with an environment that has been designed specifically to enhance the quality of life of people living with dementia and incorporates many features to promote reminiscence as therapy. The centre specialises in dementia care, residential care and respite care.

Three representatives from Steve Vick International visited Goodson Lodge to see the facilities and present the cheque.

Steve Vick, Chairman of Steve Vick International commented:

“We are delighted to be supporting this very worthwhile fundraising event. We were impressed by the level of care at Goodson Lodge and the imaginative surroundings they provide. The sensory table will help add to this unique environment and we wish all the fundraisers the very best of luck with their skydive”.
