Steve Vick International celebrates its 35th Anniversary

December 21, 2016

Steve Vick International (SVI) is proud to announce its 35th year as a leading trenchless repair specialist.

SVI began operations in 1981 when Steve Vick, company founder and Chairman saw an opportunity to develop ways of safely sealing off gas mains and services using expanding resin foams under ‘live’ conditions. At this point Steve and his wife Angela started forging the business together, from their home in Norton St Phillip, Bath.

The early success of SVI indicated a growing demand for trenchless services within the gas industry and SVI went on to design and manufacture a wide range of consumables. During this time the company moved from Steve’s garage to more suitable larger premises in Bath.

Subsequently the company has enjoyed 3 decades of innovation and steady growth, more recently diversifying into the Water and Nuclear Decommissioning sectors. Additionally the company offer a Contract Service; comprising a team of 9 EUSR NCO trained gas engineers based around the UK.

In 2014 the business moved to purpose build premises in Bradford on Avon with a bespoke development and manufacturing area, together with air-conditioned offices and a staff canteen.

Continued upgrading of existing products and adapting to new industries reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to its clients to deliver innovative products for the future.

The company chose to commemorate its 35th birthday with a summer party for staff and their families. Live music, a caricature and BBQ food were enjoyed on a canal boat travelling to historic Bath. Save to say everyone enjoyed themselves, but there were a few sore heads in the morning!
