Contract Service Expands At Steve Vick International

Due to the growing workload of the company’s Contract Service division, Steve Vick International (SVI) has made new management appointments.

Mike Hall is now Contracting Development Manager with responsibility for special operations within the Contract Service division. He will oversee large and more complex projects such as the large-scale grout filling operations currently being undertaken as part of the Cambridge A14 highway improvement scheme.

Caspar Vick becomes Contracting Operations Manager and will manage the day-to-day activities of the ten-strong contract engineering team which covers the whole of the UK from bases in London, the South West, North West and North East. He will carry out site audits to ensure the continued high standard of the company’s operational staff and will work with customers to produce surveys and detailed plans prior to projects.

Mike Hall is a well-known face to many in the gas distribution networks having worked for SVI since 1991. With over 25 years’ experience in the company’s Contract Service division he has a wealth of skill and knowledge concerning on-site operations as part of gas pipe repair and renewal projects. “Customer service is a core value across the business and always in the forefront of my mind for each and every project. The bigger the project, the more important the customer engagement is from the start” says Mikey. He has worked not only all over the UK but also around Europe, Scandinavia and the USA.

Caspar Vick has worked for SVI for 12 years and has gained experience in several divisions of the company including production and development, overseas sales and Contract Services where he gained the expertise to take on a technical support role. “The years spent in contracting and technical support have allowed me to build up contacts across the networks that have made the move to Operations Manager relatively seamless”, says Caspar.

SVI’s Special Contract Service is a core function of the business involved in a wide variety of pipe renewal and repair projects within all the UK gas distribution networks as well as for the water utilities and the civils sector which is a rapidly expanding area for the company.
