 Job Type: Permanent, full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 17:00

37.5 hours per week (can be flexible)

Steve Vick International (SVI) is dedicated to delivering cost-saving solutions for damaged, redundant, or outdated underground pipework. Since its foundation in 1981, SVI has been at the forefront in developing products and techniques for the repair, renovation and decommissioning of pipes. Predominantly our work has been in the gas industry but increasingly we are undertaking projects in the water and nuclear sectors.

We are looking to appoint a Goods In Coordinator whose role will form part of a cohesive procurement team. We are not looking for someone who is simply a strong team player, but an individual who can deliver operational excellence through effective coordinator of goods arriving on site.

You will:

Coordinate and book in deliveries, checking against paperwork to ensure correct items have been delivered, in the correct quantity I’m without damage.

Accurately record and report any delivery discrepancies on the advice note and forward to purchasing for resolution.

Coordinate the collection of items incorrectly delivered, ensuring correct paperwork is attached.

Accurately book in stock and scan all related documents onto the company’s inventory management software Iscala (E10).

Undertake perpetual stocktaking activities as directed.

Participate in main stock takes.

Keep stock control systems up to date and review any stock discrepancies with the Procurement Manager.

Prior to dispatch, carry out quantity checks on orders picked for subcontract work.

Collaborate with purchasing and stores to provide general administrative support including stock adjustments.

Create review and create both inventory racking labels and lists in preparation for stock checks.

Communicate with internal and external customers and colleagues to prioritise tasks and maintain a smooth flow of work.

Maintain a clean, tidy and organised store area to facilitate easy picking and storage.

Establish and maintain a safe working environment.

Process recyclables and liaise with other departments to maintain efficient waste management.

Ensure that daily activities always comply with health and safety rules.

 

About you:

You will have previous experience of goods-in services within a production environment.

You must be able to demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and proficiency in using warehouse systems and computerised data entry.

Most importantly you will be able to identify process and quality improvements.

You will possess excellent written skills and show a flexible approach to your work within a team setting.

Having a forklift and drivers licence is an advantage.
