SVI’s Dotty marathon team not defeated by snow
A team from Steve Vick International Ltd (SVI) was planning to run the Bath Half Marathon on 4th March for ‘Team Dotty’ to raise money for Dorothy House Hospice in the city.
Unfortunately, the Beast from the East and a significant fall of snow led to the last-minute cancellation of the event.
Refusing to be deterred, however, all members of the team have pledged to run half marathons this year although they cannot all make the same race.
“We were so disappointed that we couldn’t run on the day”, says team member Katie Ashford, SVI Sales & Marketing Director. “We were all so geared up and determined to raise as much money as possible for Dorothy House which does such a fantastic job offering palliative care in our area”.
The seven strong SVI team included directors Angela Vick, Katie Ashford and Sean Noonan joined by Shelley Butler, Julie Kinsley, Caspar Vick and James Ham. They were supported by six members of their families.
Shelley, who had been particularly committed and had trained so hard for the race is ran the Devizes Half Marathon on Sunday 8th April.

This is the second time SVI has raised money for Dorothy House after staff donated £11,000 raised by completing the gruelling Three Peaks Challenge in 2016.
