New SMARTester™ attracts interest at Utility Week Live
Steve Vick International (SVI) was delighted with their first appearance as an exhibitor at Utility Week Live in May. The main focus on the company’s stand was the newly developed SMARTester™.
SMARTester™ is a fully integrated wireless pressure testing system composed of: handset, app and Dashboard database. It provides a searchable bank of definitive test evidence, giving the user reassurance of absolute traceability.
The highly accurate stainless-steel sensor sends data to the app where every step of the test is recorded, helping to drive competency and give engineers the confidence that their good practice is verified.
SVI is a major supplier to all the UK gas distribution companies and the SMARTester™ was initially designed in conjunction with Wales & West Utilities for recording reliably accurate gas pressure readings. But the company soon realised that the device has capabilities beyond gas distribution.
In the water distribution sector, for example, SMARTester™ is ideal for testing the pressure in live water pipes. It also has applications in the nuclear and manufacturing industries.
SVI’s Sales Director, Katie Ashford, commented, “We were excited to be able to demonstrate the capabilities of the SMARTester™ to a much wider audience. Utility Week Live gave us the opportunity to reach out to such a large number of companies in different sectors and we were very encouraged by the enthusiastic reaction to our new Bluetooth pressure tester.”
SVI will be demonstrating the SMARTester™ at IGEM’s combined Annual Conference and Gas Utilisation Conference to be held at the University of Leicester on 12th and 13th September and No-Dig Live, at the East of England Arena on 18th – 20th September 2018.
